What does this notice cover?
This notice describes how Yoodee Limited (also referred to as “Yoodee”, "we" or "us") will make use of your personal data when you use our website (the “Website”) and app, register to access the platform or contact us with feedback or for any other reasons, together referred to as the “Services”.
It also describes your data protection rights, including a right to object to some of the processing which Yoodee carries out. More information about your rights, and how to exercise them, is set out in the "What rights do I have?" section.

What information do we collect?
We collect and process personal data about you when you interact with our Services. Such information may include:
- Registration data: The contact data we will obtain during registration for our services will include your name, email address, profile picture and contact phone number (optional). We collect this data directly from you.
- Website enquiry data: Where you contact us through our website or want to leave feedback, we collect your name, email address and your enquiry. When you provide feedback, we will also ask for your age range and gender and photos to support your feedback – these are optional and are collected for us to better understand the needs and expectations of our customers.
- Technical data: The technical data will include your IP address (automatically collected), web browser type and version (automatically collected), operating system (automatically collected), login information, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, type of device used, information about your visit such as locations, categories and businesses you viewed or searched for, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, methods used to browse away from the page, a list of URLs starting with a referring site, your activity on this Website, and the site you exit to (automatically collected). We collect this data through our own processes and by using third-party analytics providers.
What information do we generate or receive from third parties?
We may generate or collect information about you ourselves. Much of this is set out in our Cookies Policy below.
We may obtain information about you from third-party analytics providers (as mentioned above), which we may use to help us better understand our users and send them appropriate offers and information.
How do we use this information, and what is the legal basis for this use?
We process this personal data for the following purposes:
- To fulfil a contract, or take steps linked to a contract: this is relevant where you sign up for our Services. This includes:
- to register you for the Services;
- to provide our Services;
- taking payments;
- to manage our relationship with you; and
- providing customer services.
- As required by Yoodee to conduct our business and pursue our legitimate interests, in particular:
- we monitor and analyse use of our Services, and use your information to help us monitor, troubleshoot, improve and protect our products;
- we use information you provide to communicate with you and investigate any complaints received from you or from others and assess relevant feedback about our Services;
- we will provide you with information about other products and services we offer that are similar to those that you have already signed up to or enquired about or to make suggestions and recommendations to you and other users of our Services about products or services that may interest you or them;
- we will use data in connection with legal claims, compliance, regulatory and investigative purposes as necessary (including disclosure of such information in connection with legal process or litigation); and
- Where you give us consent:
- we will send you direct marketing in relation to our offerings and those of the Merchants listed on our platform, but only if we have your consent to this;
- we also allow Merchants whose businesses are listed on our platform to use it to send marketing material to users who have opted in to receive such information;
- we place cookies and use similar technologies in accordance with our Cookies Policy and the information provided to you when those technologies are used;
- we will use your location to provide search results local to you. We may also store this information to see where our users visit to help us improve our service. You can switch off this tracking of data at any time in the app settings, or by emailing support@yoodee.com; and
- on other occasions where we ask you for consent, we will use the data for the purpose which we explain at that time;
- For purposes which are required by law:
- we will provide data in response to requests by government or law enforcement authorities conducting an investigation.
Withdrawing consent or otherwise objecting to direct marketing
Wherever we rely on your consent, you will always be able to withdraw that consent, although we may have other legal grounds for processing your data for other purposes, such as those set out above. In some cases, we are able to send you direct marketing without your consent, where we rely on our legitimate interests. You have an absolute right to opt-out of direct marketing, or profiling we carry out for direct marketing, at any time. You can do this by following the instructions in the communication where this is an electronic message, by making changes to your preferences on the logged-in sections of our Website and app, or by contacting us on data@yoodee.com.
What cookies and/or tracking technologies does Yoodee use?
When you visit our Website, we may also collect, process and use information about you and your use of the Website, including any pages you visit and how you arrived at our site. Such information may be collected through "traffic data" and may entail the use of "cookies" or other tracking technologies, IP addresses or other numeric codes used to identify your computer.
Apple iOS, Android and other mobile or smart devices
By accessing the Website from these devices you consent to cookies being stored to your device (and other tracking technologies being used to read data from your device) for the following purposes: keeping you logged in, ensuring that an appropriate version of content is presented, analytics and advertising. Although the use of some of these cookies are optional, many of these cookies and technologies are essential to the operation of the application. It is not currently possible to opt out or remove these essential cookies (or prevent use of these technologies) from the device without deleting the application.

Who will we share this data with, where and when?
When you engage with a Merchant, your name, profile photo and bio may be shared with the Merchant. Contact information such as email address, telephone number and postal address will not be shared by Yoodee, but you may choose to share this and other information with the Merchant directly to make a purchase.
Personal data may also be shared with members of our group of companies and third party service providers, who will process it on behalf of Yoodee for the purposes identified above.
In particular, we use third party providers for marketing, design, hosting and maintenance and payment processing services. We also use third party analytical tools, including Google Analytics, which process your data to help us get better insights into our users and allow us to improve our services and promotions.
Personal data may be shared with our lawyers, government authorities and/or law enforcement officials if required for the purposes above, if mandated by law or if required for the legal protection of our legitimate interests in compliance with applicable laws.
In the event that the business is sold or integrated with another business, your details will be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchaser's adviser and will be passed to the new owners of the business.
Where information is transferred outside the EEA or UK, and where this is to a stakeholder or vendor in a country that is not subject to an adequacy decision by the EU Commission or the by the UK government, data is adequately protected by EU Commission or UK Information Commissioner approved standard contractual clauses or a vendor's Processor Binding Corporate Rules. What rights do I have?
You have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data; to correct, delete or restrict (stop any active) processing of your personal data; and to obtain the personal data you provide to us for a contract or with your consent in a structured, machine readable format, and to ask us to share (port) this data to another controller.
In addition, you can object to the processing of your personal data in some circumstances (in particular, where we don't have to process the data to meet a contractual or other legal requirement, or where we are using the data for direct marketing).
These rights may be limited, for example if fulfilling your request would reveal personal data about another person, where they would infringe the rights of a third party (including our rights) or if you ask us to delete information which we are required by law to keep or have compelling legitimate interests in keeping. How long will you retain my data?
Personal data that we process for any purpose shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose. This means that unless there is a good reason to do so we won't keep your personal data more than 6 years after our business relationship has ended.
Where we process personal data for marketing purposes or with your consent, we process the data until you ask us to stop and for a short period after this (to allow us to implement your requests). Where you have not opened an email from us in two years, we will take you off our mailing lists. We also keep a record of the fact that you have asked us not to send you direct marketing or to process your data indefinitely so that we can respect your request in future.
